Start off in Setúbal and enjoy a drink along the riverfront after an energetic cruise along the coast of the Atlantic. Spend the night in either the historic Castle of St. Filipe or the magnificent Quinta dos Moinhos, both with spectacular views over the city below, and the vast blue of the Atlantic Ocean. After breakfast the next day, you'll head to the small fishing town of Carrasqueira to see the colorful fishing boats lined up and ready for use. Stop off in the village of Comporta to satisfy your sweet tooth at a local pastelaria, then visit the fabulous Museu do Arroz for a tea on the veranda overlooking the expanse of rice fields below, filled with the white storks of the estuary. Continue along the Estuary, following the Sado River to the ancient Moorish city on the river, Alcacer do Sal. Your second night will be spent at the enchanting Castle Pousada of Dom Afonso II, looking out and over the Estuary.
